Pressure Tight Drive Systems With No Visible Rotating Parts

There is now available a wide range of magnetic couplings for pressures up to 700 bar or to fit conical joints, with or without integrated motors.

The concept of the magnetic drive for stirrer shafts has been proven over years of service. Our couplings are sturdily built for everyday use. They are characterised by quick and easy cleaning and a long service life even when in continuous use.

 

The drives are easy to maintain with only the replaceable bearings subject to wear. All our magnetic couplings now have no visible external rotating components, a feature which makes working with these magnetic drives even more safe and reliable.

The magnetic drives are corrosion resistant with all components under pressure being made from high-alloy stainless steel. The product line includes magnetic drives with various field strengths, up to 10,000 Ncm, various pressure ratings, up to 700 bar and constructed from any weldable metal e.g. Hastelloy, Inconel, Titanium and Tantalum.

The new black line series of magnetic couplings have significantly enhanced the proven magnetic drive system.

The O-ring seal is no longer used instead the coupling is screwed directly to the autoclave vessel together with which it forms an hermetically sealed unit.

 

The drives and the stirrer shaft have no direct contact in the BMD 75. The stirrer drive is driven as a result of the interacting magnetic fields. The shaft runs smoothly and with near zero vibration. Only the easily replaceable bearings are subject to wear.

The BMD75 is provided, as standard, with a threaded connector and an RPM measurement output.

The standard M36 screw thread connection is designed for operation up to 100 bar (higher pressures on request).

Alternative connections include B29, B45 and M30.
